Hello carlos, is a hard question to answer. Every region in Spain have its own variations and names.
I only know the classic Timbrado (it seems like the wild canary because of more than 75% same blood and genetics):
The Pio name is based on a cross between melanic and lipocrome canaries. Te result is a canary with marks or spots:
Pio colors indicate a possible cross between color and timbrado spanish singer. This is called bastardize, and even if it is a real timbrado (no matter the color, the crucial point is only the song) the most of keen on singing use to be very distrustful.
For specific denominations, o know two:
-Grey/Blue timbrado is called on my region (south middle Spain - Andalucia - Córdoba) : Rafalito.
-Classic timbrado color with some yellow is called: bananero (i am not hundred per cent sure about bananero or banero).

Carlos, you´ve gotten that our "foro" begins to speak English.
I´m afraid that a japanesse or o chinesse person comes into it.
At least I will not understand anything of it...

Hello, Gunkan
Thank you for your fast reply to my question,
and also to the rest of the members of this foro that took an interest in it also.
I have a pair of continuos a Crested Green Yellow male and a Blue Gray Hen that I bought about 6 weeks ago from a private breeder, all his birds came directly from Spain,
I hope to learn more and be able to breed these birds successfully,
it took me 6 month to find a breeder of Timbrado's here in New York City,
But I'm glad I waited,
Hope to continue communicating with this wonderful foro group and learning more in the near future.
Carlos a distant son of Spain.
Hi Carlos, my name is John from South Spain.
The continuos in Spain are called "classic Timbrado". It's the only genuine Timbrado admited by COM.
Whatever doubts you have about Timbrados, just remember we are here to help you. I am not an expert but i will try to bring your questions to Timbrado gurus.
It's strange those birds not wearing ring. Physically, is very hard to recognize a real Timbrado, you need the sing (and the nine classic notes).
Your first bird is called in Spain "moñudo" or with "moña" (bun). The second one is really beautiful, i know a breeder in Spain with this color in his birds's blood.
Just take great joy with your Timbrados. And come to Spain just for travel (at the end of the year -November-december-), we will give you some nice Timbrado's couples.
Greeting from Spain.

The Crested Canary is a "type canary", bred for physical characteristics rather than color or song. It is one of several canary varieties that has a tuft of feathers around the top of its head. Others include the popular Gloster Canary, the crested Stafford Canary, the crested Norwich Canary, and the crested Lancashire Canary.
